The
Borgo, with its gently curving soil of yellow tufstone, clay,
and sand, is united with Bombereto, which lies at the edge of
a wood. Its rich ancient history can be tasted in the
quality of its fruits. By the year 1254 A.D., a small
community lived here, loyal to San Bartolomeo,
in honour of whom a small church was built and remains intact
up to our days. Time has passed but has not changed the charm
and tradition of this small shire. It has, however, increased
our love and respect for this land, its history and its
culture...every grape and every olive. It is through this dedication
that we strive to produce the finest wine and oil possible. |
